Alcorso Foundation partners with Mona Foma to bring Italian performer Fabio Bonelli of Musica da Cucina to Tasmania
2011 / MUSICA DA CUCINA
Italian musician Fabio Bonelli of Musica da Cucina treated audiences in Hobart with a unique musical experience.
Combining guitar, clarinet, a whistling kettle, tinkling glass and pots and pans Bonelli creates a musical kitchen experience unlike any other. Playing to capacity audiences at Princes Wharf he held children and adults alike spellbound as he took them on a magical musical journey.
Musica da Cucina was brought to Tasmania by the Alcorso Foundation for the 2011 Mona Foma Festival.
During the Mona Foma Festival Fabio Bonelli also conducted workshops for African refugee students at the Mount Nelson Hobart College campus and for students from the Bridgewater High School at the Brighton Civic Centre. Students from each workshop were then invited to perform with Fabio at Princes Wharf on Thursday 20 January during his final performance.
