Moorilla Benefit Lunch and Auction

2008 Fundraising Dinner and Auction

Saturday 4th October at Moorilla

 

The Foundation introduced a new era of fundraising with an exciting new format that accompanied our move to Moorilla Estate's new Food and Wine Centre in May 2006. We hosted an afternoon of food, wine and great music, with an exciting and eclectic mix of antiques, memorabilia and collectables for auction.

Due to the incredible success of our inaugural fundraising auction at Moorilla Estate in May 2003, the Foundation established it as an annual event. In 2003, vineyards from across Tasmania and interstate donated special wines to raise funds for our projects. Tim Cox was our MC, with expert advice provided by Tim Goddard.. A gourmet lunch was provided by Moorilla, with fine music and a special performance by Maria Lurighi.

In May 2004 and again in 2005, the Foundation's art auctions and benefit lunches were held in the Museum at Moorilla Estate, Claudio's original residence. A full house of enthusiastic art collectors and supporters enjoyed the very best Tasmania produce and wine, with entertainment again provided by our MC, Tim Cox. Due to the wonderful generosity of the many Tasmanian artists who donated exceptionally high quality work, the auctions were an enormous success. Our thanks go to all those who made them such special events.
