The Foundation was launched on 7 October 2001 to celebrate and remember the life of Claudio Alcorso. We aim to continue the ideals and values that Claudio represented by the establishment of cross cultural exchanges and events designed to promote public awareness of music, fine arts and crafts, architecture, civic planning and environmental sciences. The Foundation sponsors international cultural exchanges with Italy as well as environmental and social justice scholarships in Tasmania. We currently manage two Public Trusts that support our many projects. The Cultural Trust and the Environment Trust are both able to accept tax deductible donations and because we operate entirely on public donations, we are committed to keeping our administrative costs to a minimum.
